The purpose of giving The Sitaram Jindal Scholarships is for the meritorious students for pursuing their higher studies. Eligibility Criteria for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2020:

Category A: The students of class 11th and 12th are eligible for this scholarship. The minimum percentage required for Boys students is 65% in the previous exam. In the event of boy’s, students from Karnataka and West Bengal must have a minimum score of 75% mark.

The minimum percentage required for girls’ students is 60% in the previous exam. In the event of girls, students from Karnataka and West Bengal must have a minimum score of 70% mark.

Category B: Students who are currently studying ITI courses are eligible for this scholarship. There no income certificate required for these students. The minimum percentage required in the last exam is 50% for boys and 40% for girls students.

Category C: Candidates who are currently pursuing any Graduate (Like B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BFA, BCA, BBA, BBM, Bachelor of Business Economics / Finance, B.Sc., etc.) or Postgraduate (M.A., M.Phil, M.Com, M.Lib (Science), MBA) degree Courses from any recognize University, are eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship.

The minimum percentage required for Boys students is 60% in the previous exam.
In the event of boy’s, students from Karnataka must have a minimum score of 70% mark and boy’s, students from West Bengal 65% mark in the previous exam.

The minimum percentage required for girls’ students is 55% in the previous exam.
In the event of girls, students from Karnataka must have a minimum score of 65% mark and girls students from West Bengal 60% mark in the previous exam.

Category D: Candidates who are currently pursuing any Diploma Courses like Environment Scientist, Environment Engineer and Environment Journalist, Diploma in Nursing, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy are eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship. The minimum percentage required for Boys students is 60% in the previous exam. The minimum percentage required for girls’ students is 55% in the previous exam.

Category E: Candidates who are currently pursuing any Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering and Medicine Courses like Naturopathy, M.B.B.S, Dental, B.Pharma, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, etc. are eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship. The minimum percentage required for Boys students is 70% in the previous exam. The minimum percentage required for girls’ students is 65% in the previous exam.

Another information about Sitaram Jindal Scholarship

1) Family Income Limits:

A. For those in employment – Rs.4.00 lakh per year – Salary Certificate issued by the Employer is acceptable.

B. For all others – Rs.2.50 lakhs per year – Income Certificates issued by the competent authorities as designated by the respective State Govts. like Tahsildar, Revenue Officer, BDO, Gram Pradhan, President of Village Panchayat, etc. are acceptable. In case the Income Certificate is issued in any language other than Hindi or English, the student should also submit a translated copy in English or Hindi duly certified by the Principal / Authorised Signatory.

2) A student should apply for the scholarship only once in the duration of the course.

3) The student should not be getting any other stipend or scholarship from any other source.

4) Scholarships will be given in all Govt., Govt. aided Schools, Colleges/ Institutes, and those private schools, Colleges/ institutes where the exorbitant fee is not charged from the students.

5) For 3 years or longer duration courses, applications will not be entertained from final year students.

6) The scholarship will not be given for courses of less than one-year duration.

7) The scholarship shall be discontinued after the student crosses 30 years of age.
